One month to go until Buckinghamshire’s biggest festival, PennFest, returns

It’s now just one month until Buckinghamshire’s biggest music festival, PennFest, returns with its most impressive line-up yet – and tickets are selling fast!

The two-day festival with optional camping is held in picturesque countryside near the village of Penn Street – just 26 miles from central London, and around 70 miles from Southampton.

PennFest sees Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds headline on Friday 21 July – in their first UK live performance of 2023 and first since the release of new album, Council Skies – with Bastille headlining on Saturday 22 July.

This fantastic multi-genre line-up has something for every music lover, with weekend tickets starting from £100, and day tickets from £55 (+ booking fee).

“It’s great to be kicking off our UK summer outdoor dates at PennFest,” says Noel. “I lived in Buckinghamshire for many years, but I’m pretty sure we’ve never played a show there.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Johnny (Marr) and watching his set, and maybe I’ll even have time for a Vindaloo at my old haunt, Milton’s Cottage in Chalfont St Giles!”

Noel goes on to explain how his remix of Robert Smith’s Pretty Boy came about.

“I just asked him,” continues Noel. “I never thought he’d even listen to it, far less actually agree to do it.

“A lovely man – he’s from The North West so I should have known he’d be cool as!

“I do love The Cure – one of THE great British guitar bands.

“I haven’t actually started rehearsing yet! But, I’d be amazed if Easy Now and Pretty Boy aren’t great live.”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be preceded by guitar legend, Johnny Marr, and Supergrass frontman / Mercury Prize-nominated solo artist, Gaz Coombes. Appearing ahead of Bastille’s headline set the following evening will be Corinne Bailey Rae, and DJ Fresh and Embrace.

Also appearing over the weekend are Craig Charles (It’s Not a Funk Soul Show), Not3s, Wes Nelson, DJ Luck & MC Neat, The Artful Dodger, The Cuban Brothers, Bad Manners and many, many more.
