Palestine Solidarity Campaign vigil in Southampton on Saturday

Palestine Solidarity Campaign vigil in Southampton on Saturday

Palestine Solidarity Campaign Southampton and Stop the War Coalition return to the city centre on Saturday (March 16) with their latest Vigil for Palestine.

The event will see local people gather to mourn the huge loss of life as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza and call for an immediate ceasefire.

Since the current assault on Gaza began in October, more than 31,000 people have been killed, including a staggering total of more than 12,300 children.

The vigil will take place from 1pm to 2pm below the Bargate in the city centre.

It follows on from a large march which took place through the city centre on March 3, seeing hundreds of people taking to the streets of Southampton in protest.

Two members of PSC Southampton are also taking part in the Southampton Running Festival 10K on June 16 to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians, with the aim of raising £20,000.
