Audiences young and old can delight in a live stage adaptation of the classic lift the flap book, Dear Zoo, which comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April.

Dear Zoo tells the story of Ben and Sally who are searching for the perfect pet and write to the zoo to ask them to send one. But the zoo sends them a range of completely unsuitable animals.

What will they be sent and will they ever receive the perfect pet?

It is brought to the stage by Norwell Lapley Productions, whose work tours the UK and world, and shows include an adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s Tales from Acorn Wood, The Sooty Show, Dom JolyThe Conspiracy Tour, Kate Mosse: Warrior Queens & Quiet Revolutionaries ,and Dr Richard Shepherd: Unnatural Causes.

Dear Zoo features puppetry, songs, lots of audience interaction and everyone’s favourite zoo animals. It is the perfect introduction to theatre for young children.
