Pianist Luka Okros: Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Liszt at Turner Sims

You can hear a selection of beautiful works played by London-based Georgian pianist Luka Okros, when he returns to Turner Sims, Southampton, next month. Fantasy and imagination will permeate the evening’s musical selection, an ideal showcase for his remarkable musicality.

Okros has established himself as one of the most promising pianists of his generation. He has already won eight first prizes in top international piano competitions and performed in 42 counties.
Described by critics as “Intense, strong and natural, with an impressive creativity”, Luka Okros has gone on to earn an international reputation for the passion and excitement he brings to his live performances.

In addition to his career as a concert pianist, Luka works on creating an album of his compositions.

Highlights of his  2021 / 2022 season include recitals in Europe and Asia – Reykjavík (Harpa), Vienna (Konzerthaus), Hong Kong (HK City Hall), Paris (Salle Cortot), Helsinki (Musiikkitalo), Budapest (Liszt Academy), Tbilisi (Conservatory), as well as live performances for radios, including BBC Radio 3 and France Musique.

He will be at the Turner Sums on February 10, performing works form Beethoven, Rachmaninov and List.
