Preview: Tales from a Thousand and One Nights, Theatre Royal Winchester

Family audiences and fans of folk tales will enjoy Tales from a Thousand and One Nights, which visits Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 11 April.

Tales from a Thousand and One Nights sees Scheherazade, the new bride of a Sultan, tell stories packed with fun, danger, wonder and passion in a bid to save her life.

And, so awaits an evening of some of the funniest and most entertaining folk tales from The Arabian Nights, including The Little Hunchback, Faisal and the Barber and The Voyages of Sinbad – with physical theatre, live music, song, masks and a market-inspired set.

This new adaptation is brought to the stage by Artistic Director of Dragonboy Productions, Eliot Giuralarocca, with 30 years experience working as an actor, theatre-maker and freelance director (credits including Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby and Dracula) – and the tales come alive thanks to a talented cast of actor musicians.

This is a Pick Your Price show meaning audiences can select a ticket price that works best for them, making a range of shows accessible. Ticket options start at just £8.

Tales from a Thousand and One Nights will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 11 April at 7pm. Recommended age: 10+ (all ages welcome). For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
