Preview: There’s a Monster in Your Show, Theatre Royal Winchester

Young audiences will love the brand-new musical show, There’s a Monster in Your Show, which comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November.

It tells the story of a group of performers preparing for the start of their show, but who soon discover they are not alone on stage – Little Monster wants to be a part of the fun and is joined by friends Dragon, Alien and Unicorn.

The show is based on the beloved Who’s In Your Book? series by musician and writer, Tom Fletcher, who is well known for being in the English pop rock band, McFly, but also has a theatre background – studying at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and starring as Oliver! at the London Palladium when he was a child.

It is directed by Miranda Larson whose theatre credits include musical parody, Friendsical, Milkshake Monkey’s Musical, Fireman Sam Saves the Circus and a stage adaptation of Little Baby Bum (YouTube).

This interactive adventure now leaps from page to stage and is a perfect introduction for little ones of live theatre.

A high-energy performance packed with lively original music and featuring favourite characters, young audiences can expect comedy and chaos as they help to create the show while learning about the joy of books and friendship.

There’s a Monster in Your Show will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November at various times. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
