Playmakers – Play to the Crowd’s creative learning and community engagement team – are inviting teachers to an education forum to give them the chance to discuss how the charity can support local schools’ arts activities. The event – which will take place at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 10 October, from 5.30pm – 7pm – will help the Playmakers team explore how they can assist with schools’ delivery of arts education through a range of workshops, talks, shows and other projects held at or by the Playmakers team.
The forum is open to anyone teaching in formal education across Hampshire, from Early Years to Higher Education level – and will also give teachers a space to share skills, raise issues and network with their peers. It will be followed by drinks and nibbles and teachers are invited to stay on as guests to watch Skylight by playwright David Hare. It tells the story of a schoolteacher, Kyra, who receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, self-made restauranteur, Tom.
Booking for the forum is free but there are limited spaces. To reserve a place, teachers should contact Playmakers’ Director, Jo Wright, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
