Nine-time Tony Award and four-time Olivier Award smash hit musical, The Book of Mormon, begins its three-week run at Mayflower Theatre this week, from today, 16 February to 5 March.
This outrageous musical comedy from the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Bobby Lopez co-writer of Avenue Q and Frozen, follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of Mormon missionaries sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get.
The missionaries are sent to a remote village in Uganda to spread the word of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but they find their mission is not as easy as they first thought it would be as the villagers are more concerned about famine, AIDS and oppression.
The cast is led by Robert Colvin as Elder Price, Conner Peirson as Elder Cunningham, and Aviva Tulley as Nabulungi.
Tickets for The Book of Mormon (16 February – 5 March) are on sale at mayflower.org.uk or 02380 711811.
